Tencel is a man-made fabric developed by innovative Austrian company
It can also be planted on marginal land that cannot be used for crops. The fibre yield per acre is up to 10 times higher than that of cotton and requires up to 20 times less water… All good news for mother natures precious resources.
The ultra fine structure of this fibre also means it’s great for you to wear. It is highly absorbent meaning a huge reduction in the formation of bacteria and it’s silky smooth finish makes it kinder to the skin than cotton or wool.
Due to the easy care nature of this fabric, it can be machine washed on a very short, cool setting without need of fabric softener or whitening agents, massively reducing the environmental impact of Tencel garments during their lifetime. And of course when it’s time to finally say goodbye to your favourite Tencel t-shirt or dress or pair of jeans it is completely biodegradable…
